Boy Scout Troop 315

SCOUTS - meet every Sunday afternoon, year-round at 4:00 PM - in the Scout House at North Baltimore Memorial Park (American Legion Drive).

ADULTS - Troop Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm - in the Scout House.

When your son joins Troop 315, he will be presented with a troop neckerchief, shoulder loops, the World Crest of Scouting, our troop numbers and the Erie Shores Council patch.  Boys should arrive on time and be picked up promptly at closing. Parents are welcome to stay.  We encourage the boys to wear their Class A uniform at each meeting.  A Class A uniform consists of an official Boy Scout shirt, pants or shorts, belt and socks, a neckerchief, and a slide of the boy's choosing.  We realize it is not always possible to come to weekly meetings in full uniform.  Therefore, the minimum uniform requirement at meetings consists of a Boy Scout shirt tucked into jeans or khakis, and a neckerchief and slide.  Class A uniforms are required wear for Courts of Honor and specified community events, such as flag raising.  The troop maintains a uniform box that contains outgrown shirts, pants and shorts. It is located in the troop's closet at the Scout House.

Weekly meetings follow this basic plan:

    1. Flags (posting the colors)
    2. A general assembly, led by the senior patrol leader
    3. Advancement (one week of each month); patrol business (two weeks of each month); and merit badges (one week of each month). Scoutmaster conferences and Boards of Review will take place during the meetings and on outings, when necessary.
    4. A game
    5. Flags (retiring the colors)
    6. Clean -up
    7. Closing circle
    8. Dismissal
