You can increase your son’s success in Scouting by making sure he gets to meetings on time and is properly dressed. Keep abreast of the dates of upcoming activities and
encourage your son to participate. Send your son to summer camp. Attend the Courts of Honor. Encourage him to work on rank advancement and merit badges. If he is a member of the Patrol
Leader Council, get him to the monthly meetings. And let him make mistakes: Boy Scouting is a safe place to make mistakes and learn from them. A patrol that doesn't bring enough food
for a camping trip will quickly learn how much food to bring the next time!
